Colors

Tuesday, August 29, 2006
I'm bored, so bare with me! LOL
And, if you wanna join my bored silliness, feel free!
Colors inspire me, so I thought I'd share with ya'll what they make me think of.

Pink makes me think of my Brats, Cotton Candy, and Easter

Gray makes me think of rainy days, and sadness

Red makes me think of love, valentine's day, and roses (do you see a theme here? LOL)

Orange makes me think of Florida, pumpkins at halloween time, and Fall

Brown makes me think of wood, squirrels and Fall again

Yellow makes me think of happiness and sunshine (and boy is it bright!)

Green makes me think of $$ money, trees, grass and sea-sickness

Blue makes me think of the ocean, the sky, bluebirds in my yard, and my daughters AND husbands eyes

Purple makes me think of grapes, barney, and it just plain makes me happy because it's my favorite color

I'm not tagging anyone, but I'd like to know how ya'll think IN COLOR :)

am i alone?

I came into work last night with every intention of putting up a new post. I logged onto blogger, and I sat here staring at a blank screen. I had no idea what to write about. So I wonder, am I that boring? Is my life that uneventful? Or am I just to silly to see the great things that are happening around me and not sharing them?
I was laying in bed this morning, after work, after I dropped the Brats off at school and the phone rings. It's Brat1 and 2's teacher. Brat1 decided she didnt want to be at school today and insisted they call her mommy. I was about to tell the teacher that I'd be right there, but instead I asked if I could talk to Brat1. So, she gets on the phone. I asked her what was the matter? She said, I miss you mommy. I about cried. I talked to her for a minute, and I asked her if she would be okay staying in school with her sissy, and she said yes. I felt so bad though. With me working at night and them being in school all morning and afternoon, that doesnt leave us very much mommy/brat time. By the time they come home in the afternoon, have snack and play for a couple hours, eat supper, and take a bath, it's time for them to go to bed. They wake up in the mornings, and mommy isnt there, although they know I will be there within a few minutes (from work). I dont know, I think about quitting my job somedays. It's not like I HAVE to work. We could make it on what hubby brings home. Which, dont get me wrong, he doesnt make BIG money, but still, we could make it. But then, I get to thinking that if I quit, that would take away the EXTRA money that I bring home. So how do I come to a happy medium? Sheesh. If I work during the day, I could only work from about 8:30 a.m until about 2:30 p.m. There aren't many places around here that I could work those hours. Most places (especially during the day) wont hire you unless you can work fulltime. Night jobs are the easiest to find. So, I'm stuck choosing between spending a little more time with my girls, and spending that extra money (that mostly benefits my girls).
Okay, I know this post is whiny, and I'm sorry. I try not to have too many whiny, crybaby days LOL Today just happened to be one of those days.
I hope you are all having a wonderful night :)
*hugs*

....it's been a long night....

Dear Mr. I'm Drunk And Only Renting A Room So I Can Have A Booty Call With This Girl And I Probably Dont Even Know Her Name;

It is protocol for me to ask for your address and phone number so that I can charge you in case you mess up your room. NO I will not give you mine. We do not charge by the hour, we charge by the night. If you choose to only stay for an hour, it will be the same rate as it would be for a whole night. No, there is no "booty call" discount. (The man actually said this to me)
Sir, I'm sorry that I cannot drag out the breakfast food for you to eat in the middle of the night. Breakfast is served between the hours of 6:30 a.m and 10:00 a.m. It is only 1:00 a.m. There is, however, a Huddle House down the road. If I were you though, I'd wait until morning, because you will probably go to jail if you drive now. I could smell you before you even walked through the door. Here's an idea for you. Maybe you could call your WIFE, she might bring you something to munch on. Considering you have a local address, and by this point I can definetely tell that you do not know your partners name, I'm sure that your wife would be pleased to know that you are safe. She is probably worried about you, while she sits at home with, oh, probably 4 small children and nothing to eat... Shall I call her for you?
Have a wonderful night you two. Checkout is at 12:00 p.m. Oh, you wont be here that long? I'll be seeing you soon then. Goodnight.
Sincerely
Your Friendly Happy
Desk Clerk
Can ya'll believe some people? *Update* They checked in at 1:00 a.m and checked OUT about 5 minutes ago. It's just now 2:02 a.m. LOL THAT was one expensive booty call!!! ($133.28 to be exact! bwahahaha)

moving day blues

Saturday, August 26, 2006
Well, I'm still trying to move. Its sooo stressful! Packing everything up, just to turn right around and unpack it again. When can I sleep? Sheesh! I've been up since 7 a.m YESTERDAY! Usually I get a catnap in the daytime while the girls are at school, but I've been so busy that I havent had a chance. But, at least everything else is going smoothly. The girls are really loving school; our new house is so big that even I, a glorified packrat, dont have enough stuff to put in it! Know what that means? Time to go shopping!!! I got my furniture arranged how I wanted it today. I turned on the air conditioners upstairs and downstairs and boy oh boy did it feel good! I need to decide on a cute theme for the girls' room. www.abcdistribution.com has some very cute daisy furniture that I've been thinking about ordering for them. If you havent checked out that site, now's the time to do it! Their prices are reasonable, and they have good quality stuff. I've ordered from them many times! We found a yellow-jacket nest in our front yard. Those things are so hard to get rid of. We set it on fire, but they just kept swarming. I think we better do it again. The main owner of the hotel I work at is staying here this weekend, so I feel like I'm on edge. This is the first time I've met him. He seems really nice. I'm so tired, so I'm going to cut this short. Hope ya'll have a great night. Maybe I'll have something more interesting to blog about tomorrow. *hugs*

Home

Friday, August 25, 2006
Recently I joined The Crazy Hip Blog Mama's. I was just over there and they have a Writing Collaboration, the topic to write about is "Home." What a great subject to write about :) So, I'll tell you a little about my home.

To me, home is wherever my family is. I have my own home, but I also feel like I'm home when I'm at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Home, to me, is where I can sit down, put my feet up and relax while I enjoy time with my hubby, my kids, and the rest of my family. The old saying "Home Is Where The Heart Is" is so true! Home is where my husband and I argue, then make up. Home is where I sit at my dining room table and eat a home-cooked supper with my husband and kids. Home is where I can go in my bedroom and shut the door and take a nap. Home is Love.

If you could have a free subscription to any magazine, which one would you like to have?
Hmm...I'd have to choose Readers Digest. I like that magazine because of the stories that are always moving. But my FAVORITE thing about it is all the funny stuff!

Soup -
Describe your living room (furnishings, colors, etc.).
Okay. My NEW livingroom has blue carpet. It is very large because it is 2 rooms combined (livingroom AND a sitting room). We have a bluish-green colored sectional couch that is big and comfy. I have a rocking chair that is the same color. We have our TV on an entertainment center, that also has our stereo, dvd player and vcr. The entertainment center is also where I keep my what-nots. (mostly angels)

Salad -
What does the shape of a circle make you think of?
Circles make me think of something that is neverending, i.e. my love for my children, generations of family...

Main Course -
Name 3 things in your life that you consider to be absolute necessities.
The Internet
Orange Soda
A Good Book

Dessert -
What was the last really funny movie you watched?
Huh...I dont get to watch comedies that involve grown ups LOL If we watch a movie at MY house, it is either Disney, or something like it!

Monday Memories

Here's A Sam Original Poem About Memories :)

Michael Jackson's Thriller,

MTV,

High-Top Sneakers,

and

Mr. T!

Garbage Pail Kids,

Pop-Rocks Candy,

Going to the beach,

Wasn't it dandy?

Summer Vacation,

Staying out really late,

Getting in trouble,

Making cars out of a milk crate!

Big Hair Bands,

New Kids on the Block,

Way back when...

Those memories ROCK!

Nothing special, just a few things that remind me of when I was a kid! I remember we used to play outside in the summertime until it was so dark we couldnt see ANYTHING! In our neighborhood, their were about 20 of us kids all right about the same age. We had our own little gang goin' on. But the only difference between now and then is, now gangs kill and love blood shed, they rape and plunder. Back then, we could roam the streets and our parents wouldnt worry in the least! It's amazing how much things have changed since I was little! I wouldnt let my kids roam ANY streets, alone OR with a group. Sheesh, their is so much crime today that I dont venture out alone and I'm a grownup! *singing* Mommy WOW! I'm a big kid nowwwww....

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Once Upon a Time.....

(courtesy of Nancy Kendall)

(borrowed from NIEH Kids' Pages)
Even if you have outgrown bedtime stories, you may still be able to identify the following quotes from classic children's books. Type your answers in the comment area, and then check your answers tomorrow when I post them .

1. "I'm not very big. They use me only for switching trains in the yard. I have never been over the mountain."

2. "Help! Help! A Heffalump!"

3. Mrs. Darling put her hand to her heart and cried, "Oh, why can't you remain like this forever?"

4. The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house all that cold, cold, wet day.

5. "Now, my dears, you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr. McGregor's garden: your father had an accident there."

6. Lucy felt a little frightened, but she felt very inquisitive. She looked back over her shoulder and there, between the dark tree trunks, she could still see the open doorway of the wardrobe.

I thought this was cute :) Let's see how many of you grown ups can identify the children's stories that these come from....without cheating! LOL

Just a Bunch of Jabber

Wow, I havent given ya'll anything interesting to read lately, I'm slackin'! I've been doing more visiting than I have posting. I cant help myself, so many of ya'll I just cannot stay away from! I guess I'm in a blog funk. The Brats have been loving school. I've been working, fixing my blog comments, and enjoying other blogs. Sheesh, I missed Wordless Wednesday, Thursday 13, Friday Feast... I promise, it'll be better this coming week :) We finally found out for sure that we get the house we wanted. We're just able to rent right now, but we got a great deal! 4 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, full basement, HUGE woppin' backyard, nice size kitchen, living room and dining room, all for the LOW LOW price of $500 smackers a month! Considering where we live, that is DIRT cheap! Our town is a "lake town" just about all the property is close to the lake. Lets face it, waterfront property is NOT cheap. So, basically, I'll be working at night, and moving during the day. Where does that leave sleep? LOL Oh well, I just cannot wait to get into our new house. Hmm...actually it's not new, it's REALLY old! It used to sit on our main street, but they moved it. But, it's new to us :)

Another Great Prize!!

Saturday, August 19, 2006

Recently I participated in a contest to win a book over at A Mama's Rant. When I came back to work tonight and checked my email, I had one saying that I was one of the winners! WOOHOO , I love reading, so I know I'll enjoy this! The other winners were Michelle D. and also Tonya from Drama Queens Mama. I dont think I've ever won so many prizes and awards in my life as I have since I started blogging :)

And, BTW, I've got my comments back, so you all can start leaving them again! LOL COME BACK PEOPLE I MISS YOU!!!

Maybe...

Okay, Maybe just MAYBE it is working now! Someone please come and leave me a comment so I can see LOL

ONE MAD MOMMY!

Okay, if you've stopped by and tried to leave a comment, you have probably noticed that my comments are messed up. Bad. I am trying to get them fixed so that I can read them, and I dont know how. So, if you really want to leave me a comment..dont fret...please dont hesitate to email me! sweetstargreeneyes@yahoo.com is my email address :) And hopefully this stupid comment ordeal will be fixed soon.

I NEED YOUR HELP!

Wednesday, August 16, 2006
Okay ya'll, I have a favor to ask of you! I know it's only the middle of August. So, that means that Christmas is not so far away. I want to make something really special for my best friend, Lisa. And dont worry, she's not computer savvy, so she wont be seeing this LOL. I was thinking about making her a scrapbook/journal type thing. I want it to be so she can write her thoughts, and read poetry and look at pictures, the whole nine yards. So here's what I need help with...

poetry (about friendship)
questions (sort of a topic that she could write about)
anything creative (because I dont happen to have a creative bone in my body!)

She loves to write, short stories, fairytales, you name it and she'll write about it. So let me tell you a little bit about her.
  • She's 27
  • She's been married for 6 years
  • She collects disney memorabilia (sp?)
  • She cannot have babies :(
  • She's going to College...studying "early education"
  • She graduates this coming May
  • She is VERY family oriented (her family is very tight knit)
  • Her favorite color is purple
  • She is the most caring, loving, trustworthy person you'll ever meet

So, who's up for the challenge? Anyone? Please help me... :)

My Nephew Chad

Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Kelly, over at Pass The Torch has given us Pass the Torch Tuesday. If you've caught a child being good, smart, helpful, responsible, or just outright COOL, here's your chance to post about it! She's going to give out an award each week for the best post. Last week I won with my post "Mommy's Sick Day" and she gave me an awesome button to put in my sidebar! This week, I'm going to post again. I dont need to win to enjoy doing this, because I know a lot of cool kids that deserve recognition, and no people, I dont just mean brat1 and brat2 LOL! So anyhoo, go on over and leave a link, or comment, or both and check it out :)

I'd like to talk about my nephew Chad. He just has turned 7 years old. Chad was adopted by my grandparents when he was 2. He's a very intelligent child! However, he's had a rough summer, and I commend him for the way that he handled it. For starters, my grandmother (which would be his mommy now) was diagnosed with breast cancer on October 19, 2005. She's been through 4 months of chemotherapy, 35 radiation treatments, and most recently, a double masectomy (sp?). She and my granddad take care of Chad everyday. They are his parents. So, where does that put Chad while she was going through all this? Well, lets just say it put him through a lot of worry, anxiousness, and tears. My granddad was VERY busy taking care of Chad AND grandma. And yes, I helped too, but he wasnt willing and neither were my grandparents, for him to come live with me fulltime during this. Instead of spending his summer swimming, camping, and hanging out with friends, he opted to help take care of his mommy. He went to EVERY DR. visit with her, he "cooked" breakfast for her. (His idea of breakfast is a poptart or a bowl of cereal) He would not leave her side. He would call me on the phone and tell me when he thought that grandpa needed my help. (Much to Grandpas consternation, considering that my phone # is long distance LOL) When she had her surgery, he babied her, like he was the adult! Now, she's almost completely recovered and he has started back to school. He is a very sweet kid and probably wise beyond his years, and we love him very much :) He's my punkin' butt and I'm so very glad that his worrys and fears have been appeased now that my grandmother is cancer-free.

Moby in the Morning, Small Town Soap Box

Today's Small Town Soap Box
Submitted by Alan Hand

There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live.
So as she was getting her things "in order," she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in. Everything was in order and the pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very important to her.
"There's one more thing," she said excitedly.
"What's that?" came the pastor's reply.
"This is very important," the young woman continued.
"I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand."
The pastor stood looking at the young woman, not knowing quite what to say.
"That surprises you, doesn't it?" the young woman asked.
"Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request," said the pastor.
The young woman explained. "My grandmother once told me this story, and from there on out, I have always done so. I have also, always tried to pass along its message to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement 'In all my years of attending church socials and potluck dinners, I always remember that when the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork'.
It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming, like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with substance! So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder "What's with the fork?"
Then I want you to tell them: "Keep your fork. The best is yet to come."
The pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She had a better grasp of what heaven would be like than many people twice her age, with twice as much experience and knowledge. She KNEW that something better was coming.
At the funeral people were walking by the young woman's casket and they saw the pretty dress she was wearing and the fork placed in her right hand.
Over and over, the pastor heard the question "What's with the fork?"
And over and over he smiled.
During his message, the pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the young woman shortly before she died. He also told them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. The pastor told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either. He was right.
So the next time you reach down for your fork, let it remind you ever so gently, that the best is yet to come. Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your friends how much you care.
Remember to always be there for them, even when you need them more. For you never know when it may be their time to "Keep your fork."
Cherish the time you have, and the memories you share Being friends with someone is not an opportunity but a sweet responsibility. And keep your fork.

Each morning on my way home from work, when I'm so sleepy I cannot keep my eyes open, I tune my radio in to 106.1 f.m. to listen to "Moby in the Morning". I depend on him to keep me awake until I get home! Each morning he presents us with a Small Town Soap Box. I have yet to hear one that didnt touch me deeply. If you would like to share these stories with Moby and his faithful listeners, just click up there on Small Town Soap Box and it will take you to his webpage. And for those of you who are wondering, 106.1 f.m. radio station is COUNTRY music! Yes folks, I am guilty of it, I like country! I also like bluegrass, classic rock, golden-oldies, you name it and I like it! I am very well rounded when it comes to music. Anyways, I thought some of you might enjoy the Small Town Soap Box story, so there it is! He does this everyday, so you can go and read them!!

What My Soul Really Looks Like...

What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.
Your near future is a lot like the present, and as far as you're concerned, that's a very good thing.

MONDAY MEMORIES

Monday Memories: Did I ever tell you about Me?

For todays memories, I'd just like to tell ya'll a little about me!
For starters, my name is Samantha, as many of you already know.
Please, call me Sam.
I was born in South Florida, on July 6, 1981.
I didnt grow up in the typical *father/mother/kid* home...my grandparents raised me.
I consider myself VERY lucky for that!
My kids, my husband, my family...they are what makes me who I am today!
We have a pet kitty named "Morris" because he looks like the famous cat!
I have twin daughters, they are 3 1/2 years old.
I have been married to my husband for 3 years, but we've been together for 5 years.
I have enjoyed my blogging experience thus far, and hope it continues for a long time.
I really enjoy all my blogging buddies!
Have a happy Monday!!!

Friday Feast/First Day of School

Feast One Hundred & Six

Appetizer
Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.
It's funny how the things I used to play with when I was little are now back in style. CareBears, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony, and the always popular Barbie! I had all these things at one point or another, but Barbie was my favorite! I remember, between my sister and I, we had like 6 laundry baskets full of Barbies and Kens, and all the accessories.

Soup
If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?
Does anyone else think of "The Question" they ask the Miss America Contestants? LOL
If I could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, it would be medical care. I know there are things like medicare, and medicaid, and programs that help pay for prescriptions, but there are still SO many people out there that cant/wont go to the DR. because they dont have insurance. I know that DR's and Nurses have to make a living too, but I just hate it that so many people are sick and cant get the help that they need.

Salad
Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?
Hmm...it just depends on my mood, and the time of day! I think about him a lot when he's working. He's a painter, and he has to get up on very high walkboards, and paint very high buildings and ceilings and what not, so I worry about him a lot. I also think about him when I'm sad or lonely, because the thought always make me feel a little better :) (Unless I'm mad at him, then I think about breaking his big toe or something LMAO)

Main Course
What is something you believe in 100%?
God, hands down. I may not go to church every Sunday, but I believe in him wholeheartedly! He has come through for me too many times for me not to believe in Him!

Dessert
Name one thing you have done this week that you would consider a "good deed."
I babysat my 18 mth. old nephew and my 1 1/2 mth. old neice all day AND night for my sister!

Well, yesterday was Brat1 and Brat2's first day of headstart! They did great :) Although Brat2 came home with no socks and her hair was tore down from her piggytails! I asked her why she took her socks off and she said "because my toes were hot, mommy!" LOL What can you say to that? They brought home pictures that they drew today and it was so sweet! Brat2 also has a hard time laying down for a rest when the other kids do, but Brat1 doesnt have any problems at all! They didnt even fuss when I left them there! They were like "okay mom, see ya later" sheesh! The only problem I have with this headstart program is that they eat breakfast at 8:00 a.m, lunch at 10:30 a.m, and they DONT get a snack! So, when I pick them up, I bring a snack for them. The teachers said that it's not in their "funding" this year for snacks, so some of us parents asked why couldnt we bring snacks for the kids and the teacher said because they didnt have anywhere to store them, and they were only allowed to give the kids "school approved" stuff. I say thats a crock of s**t! Oh well, I'll just keep giving them a snack at 2:45 when I pick them up! So far so good...

See Ya'll Friday!!

Wednesday, August 09, 2006
Well, I will be off from work on Wednesday and Thursday, so I posted my Wordless Wednesday and Thursday 13! I hope everyone enjoys them and I'll be back on Friday :)
*hugs*

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Here's to all my new Kitty Friends :)

Mommys Sick Day

Tuesday, August 08, 2006
Okay guys, you should go visit Pass the Torch, Kelly is hosting Pass the Torch Tuesday and you can read posts about some great kids! I'm going to submit this one. You can vote on your favorite one! So, how bout it, go on over and check it out!

There was one day, a while back and it was bad. I was really sick and couldnt even get out of the bed. I had some kind of stomach virus and it was just icky. My girls were so well behaved that day. My husband skipped work to stay home and watch them, and I swear, I didnt hear the first fuss from them. I was lying there, contemplating if I was going to be able to get to the bathroom or not and Shelby (Twin A/Brat1) came peeping into my room sooo quietly, followed by her sister, Shaleena (Twin B/Brat2). They had gotten into the pantry and brought me a can of tomato soup. No spoon, no bowl, just an unopened can of tomato soup! She (Shelby) sat the soup onto my night stand, Shaleena stepped close and lay her hand on my head and said to me..."mommy, I'm sorry you're sick, can I kiss your booboo and make you better?" And, feeling like I was, I just started bawling. Thats Love, true, honest to goodness Love. They thought that they could kiss my booboo and make it all better...I Love my kids :)

Open House

Monday, August 07, 2006
Well, I'm pretty sure that the girls are going to LOVE school! We took them to their open house today and it was all I could do to get them to LEAVE! At first, they were shy and didnt want to leave me to go outside with the teachers and other kids. Lisa (my Best Friend) walked out with them and they started playing and she came back in. They had a ball!! After I sat there and listened to the lady drone on and on and on and on...it was finally time to visit the classroom. We got to the door and I was like "oh Lisa LOOK! Their names are on the door!!" They had different color shapes cut out with their names (the students) and taped to the door. It was sooo cute! And then we opened the door...OMG! The kids were already in the room and let me tell ya'll, they were LOVING IT!! Their chairs had their names on them, they had cubbies, nap-mats, the whole nine yards. The only thing is...they put my girls at seperate tables. I need advice from all you moms that have twins in school. Is it better to seperate them or keep them together? I mean, they put my kids on opposite sides of the room from each other! I'm nervous, I'm excited, I'm driving myself crazy! I NEED ADVICE! And...I'm eating fruit dip hehe minus the fruit LMAO! It's really good too *offers you all a bite* Well, if anyone can help to ease my mind about this whole school bologna...let me know PLEASE! Also, I wanna say Thanks to Kailani for giving me the code to put my "casting call" star in my sidebar *hugs* *singing* Goodnight sweethearts, well its time to goo...da da da da da Good night sweethearts gooooodnight...

3 people i'd invite to dinner . . . Vin Deisel (Bald is SEXXXXYYYY!! LOL), John Michael Montgomery, and My Great Grandpa (Grandma's dad) that I never met.

My life is about . . . Being a mommy and enjoying my family as well as hard work and dedication, and being happy!

I'd also like to bring ya'll up to date on my house (renting) hunting situation...We found a house!! 4 bedroom (older house) 2 bathrooms, full basement, huge yard, yada yada. Okay, now are you ready for the best part? I couldnt believe this, and you guys probably wont either...it's only $500/month!!! We have to pay our own utilities, which is fine, but can you believe that price? OMG we're paying WAY more than that for a trailer that is FALLING APART around us!! So, I'm excited, we get to start moving in on the 14th! Now the brats can have a bedroom AND a playroom, and we'll STILL have a guest room! WOOHOO WOO HOO HOO WOOHOO WOO HOO HOO ....hehehehe

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

MONDAY MEMORIES

Okay, Blogger is being retarded, it's not letting me upload my header for "Monday Memories". So, I'll just go on with it anyways!

Way back when I was 2 yrs. old, my grandma bought me a stuffed gorilla at a thrift store. When she brought him home, I was elated! But, he had to have a name! I dubbed him George. I'm not sure if I named him that because of "Curious George" or what, but George he was! Let me tell ya'll that I never did anything or went anywhere without that monkey! When my nephew was 2, I was going to pass George down. I thought to myself, Arent I a little too old for this? Shouldnt I pass it down and let someone else enjoy him? Well, I tried. Oh Lord I tried. But I just couldnt do it. I chickened out LOL I've had George for 23 years now, and he uses my dresser in my bedroom as his throne. Many times my husband has teased me about George...many times my kids have asked to play with George...I'm sorry family, he's mine and YOU CANT HAVE HIM! (hehe how childish was THAT?) He still has his original ballerina t'shirt and maroon colored underwear on that he came in...He now has bandaids on the back of his poor head where I fixed "booboo's" . He slumps these days, he doesnt have good posture anymore. He used to stand about 3 ft. tall, now he doesnt do anything but sit on his throne and keep vigil over me at night. Maybe someday I'll pass him down...or maybe not.

Do any of YA'LL have a childhood toy or keepsake that you just cant make yourself give up???
